History of SlickyBlocks

SlickyBlocks was founded by Sam Fouzir, a senior software engineer with over 20 years of experience in .NET, JavaScript, and cloud architecture.

The concept was born from his frustration with how overcomplicated modern website builders had become. Small businesses — especially those without a tech background — were wasting hours (and money) trying to get something simple online.

Sam began building SlickyBlocks around 2020, focusing on a platform that lets users describe what they want, and let the AI handle layout, text, and even media placement.

Over time, SlickyBlocks evolved into a full SaaS platform — featuring:

Sam, the founder of SlickyBlocks, is a seasoned full-stack engineer specializing in .NET, JavaScript, SQL Server, React, and Azure.

Before SlickyBlocks, she led development teams, built enterprise systems, and architected cloud-based solutions with microservices, Kubernetes, and Service Bus.

He started SlickyBlocks to bridge the gap between business owners and complex tech — creating a system that’s powerful for developers but effortless for users.

Sam also owns a YouTube channel called Code WizzarD, where he teaches programming, architecture, and software concepts in simple, visual ways.
